As expected, the top three teams in the women's basketball league all won their matches last weekend.
Leaders Hibs Medsea extended their perfect record by beating St Andrew's, Depiro McDonalds were barely made to sweat by Starlites Sports Experience but Luxol found stiff resistance from second-bottom Honey Athleta.
With both sides having several players missing, it was Hibs who, after a slow start, found their rhythm to lead 36-15 at half-time.
St Andrew's were unable to raise their standards and the champions continued to dictate matters before finishing 76-28 winners.
Luxol had forward Francesca Psaila Savona missing. They struggled to impose their play over Athleta who shared the exchanges till half-time - 32-23.
Athleta remained in touch until the final minutes when five consecutive points sealed a hard-earned 53-44 victory for second-placed Luxol.
Depiro, third in the standings, were never troubled by Starlites with Kalia Agius, the top scorer in the championship, helping herself to 41 points.
Depiro led 49-14 at half-time and went on to cruise to a comfortable 83-32 victory.
