Carmelo Vella, 45 of Bugibba today pleaded not guilty to having grievously injured George Dimech of Birkirkara during a fight in a Cospicua bar late on Saturday.

He also denied breach of the public peace, using vulgar language, threatening Mr Dimech and breaking conditions of a previous court sentence.

He was remanded in custody until evidence is heard.
