The nativity village, Betleħem f'Għajnsielem, came to end last Sunday, feast of the Epiphany, with the adoration of the Three Kings (Magi).
The Magi arrived at Mġarr harbour from the east side on a luzzu (Maltese boat) in the afternoon and made their way to the nativity village on horseback.
People lined the streets leading to Ta' Passi fields where the Magi were welcomed by a large crowd as they made their way to the grotto to adore Baby Jesus.
Meanwhile, the feast of the Epiphany in Xagħra this year took on a more real aspect with the re-enactment of the arrival of the Magi at Victory Square.
The Three Kings took different routes and arrived at the square at around 10.40 a.m. where they were given a big welcome.
Three pageboys preceded them carrying gold, incense and myrrh. At 11 a.m. the Magi entered the basilica of Maria Bambina where they paid homage to Baby Jesus and placed their gifts at the foot of the altar, followed by Mass.
The activity was organised by the group Il-Milied fix-Xagħra.
