Part of Xlendi Road was completely inaccessible this afternoon as strong winds pushed the seawater inland.

Reader Joseph Masini said that the situation rendered the whole area surrounding Xlendi almost inaccessible and the sand surrounding the bay had to be piled up in heaps, so that it would not be lost completely.
