Citta Magica injects life in the capital
Video: Paul Spiteri Lucas
Many families ignored the cold and took to Valletta this afternoon to get immersed in the magic of the capital, the venue for Citta Magica, which is being held along Republic and Merchants' streets and Freedom and St George's squares until midnight.
The event kicked off with bands playing in Republic Street, followed by the Police Band, a display by police dogs and their handlers, and a historical re-enactment at St George's Square.
Several popular bands performed in St George's Square and others in Merchants' Street. More are performing in Freedom Square this evening.
Public transport has been extended to after midnight as has the park-and-ride service from Floriana to Valletta.
Restaurant and shops took the opportunity for some extra business and will remain open till late. Some shops are offering discounts over and above their sale.

I really enjoyed this event. with my friends attending all three band venues. I especially liked the band in the Video, they were very professional. I don't know thier name but would like to see them perform again. We also visited an art exibition, went shopping, had coffee and ended our evening with a meal at the band club. At 9.00 pm it was starting to really buzz with lots of people out to enjoy the evening. A great atmosphere. I look forward to another evening such as this.

@P.Borg:
Unfortunately It might be that camera reporters, Not only this one in particular but all the stations' ones I'm saying, go filming during the wrong time when there is not much activity.

It was packed believe me during the concert given by George Curmi - il-Puse'... imbad kif spiċċa għalkemm għamel enfazi biex il-pubbliku jibqa għal-talent ieħor.. kulħadd beda jimxi.. il-Puse' is simply great!

Honestly, I'm not seeing the large masses of people in that video. I for one was not the least bothered to attend. Perhaps these nights are losing their originality?
