Police investigate possible contraband diesel find
The Economic Crimes Unit and the Customs Department are carrying out an investigation on a bowser found this morning and believed to be carrying contraband diesel, Public Broadcasting Services said.
The station said the discovery was made this morning near Malta Freeport.
Samples of diesel from a number of launches were lifted as part of investigations.
The discovery was made after weeks of monitoring. Last October, the police also found a consignment of contraband diesel.
