Kevin Sammut is BOV Player of the Month

Valletta FC and Malta International forward Kevin Sammut ended 2009 on a high personal note when he was judged player of the month for December.

Sammut performed consistently for his team after joining the Lilywhites before the start of the current season. His displays on the field reached a peak in December, helping Valletta FC maintain their pressure on league leaders Qormi in their challenge for the BOV Premier League title.

Extremely skilful when in possession of the ball and adept at tackling opponents, Sammut has been instrumental in setting up goals for his colleagues. The Valletta forward is equally good at nipping in for a final shot at goal, and his scoring rate, despite not being prolific, is worthy of mention. The player’s versatility has indeed given Valletta quite a push this season.

Antoine Attard, Manager, Business Banking at Bank of Valletta’s Branch in Republic Street Valletta congratulated Sammut for his performances and presented him with the BOV Player of the Month Trophy for December 2009. Sammut chose The Children’s Cancer Support Group to benefit from the donation associated with the award.
