The police are investigating an envelope discovered on the scene of last month's Qormi parcel bomb explosion.
The alarm was raised at about 4.45 and AFM explosives experts and the police quickly descended on the site, closing the street and evacuating neighbours.
The alarm was called off at about 5.20 p.m.
Philip Cini suffered serious injuries in the blast on December 22 and is still in hospital.

I agree completely with your comment. Knowing how tense this family is with the other incident still fresh in their
minds, the postman who I am sure has a little bit of common sense was completely careless.
He/she should have not left this envelope lying on their doorstep. It does not require a degree in Physcology to know these things especially if the postman is a regular of the area.

The postman who delivered this letter and left it on the ground should be dismissed immediately by the postal authorities. This shoddy service should be stopped once and for all and those found wanting removed from this postal service. This is not the way to deliver letters to the addressees.

Can the police trace any evidence that can be achieved from calls received on telephones/mobile to or from Philip Cini?

What another traumatic event for this family.....I suggest that a Public CCTV is installed in the area for the safeguarding of everyone..

Whoever did this prank should be dealt with accordingly, especially after god knows how much pain the family has been going through.
