Questions over Floriana street party (2)
In the article "Lovely" Street Party Fails To Draw The Crowds (January 2) it was reported that: "The lack of late-night public transport might have contributed to the low turnout at the New Year's Eve street celebration in Floriana." I would like to point out that in spite of the serious obstacles which the Floriana local council had to face, namely lack of late-night public transport and the police objection to the closure of St Anne Street, the event still proved to be a major success.
This notwithstanding , no one can deny that, should late-night public transport have been available and should a police no-objection have been issued in time, the street party in question would have been a more resounding success.

@ laurence Schrembri Typical of a die hard labourite who sides with anyone or anything that obscure the Govt. Playing the same disk over and over again. It has been worn out causing you to lose your credibility.

Edward, I`m an honest man, I don`t side with you on many things, especially political, but on this one I will congratulate you, Nigel and the Council for making a stand, yes, the party was a success, ignore the spoil-sports.
