The Top Gun team rounded up their commitments for 2009 on a high last week after their successful run in the Christmas Cup, organised by the Malta Pool Association.

No fewer than 32 teams took part in the tournament, played at the Pandora club in Żejtun, but in the end none were better than Top Gun.

In the final they compre-hensively beat league champions Domus Kids 10-2.

Marsa-based Top Gun prac-tically made sure of the honours in the opening session which they won 6-0.

Domus Kids tried to hit back after the break but they only managed to win the opening two games before Top Gun rallied to secure the points they needed and claim the victory.

In the semi-finals, Top Gun beat San Ġwann Boċċi Club 10-4 and Domus Kids eliminated the Jojo's outfit 10-7.

The players who represented Top Gun in the Christmas Cup were Philip Farrugia, Maverick Zammit, Clayton Attard, Antoine Cuschieri, Ivan Rizzo, Warren Attard, Miguel Falzon, Malcolm Azzopardi and Matthias Mallia.
