I would like to lodge a serious complaint to the Birżebbuġa local council and the ministry responsible for roads. A few metres from the council's offices, the seawater is daily flooding the road, including the existing roundabout. This daily occurrence is of great inconvenience not only to the local residents but also to the motorists who have to use this road entering or exiting Birżebbuġa. As everyone knows, seawater causes great damage to the vehicles' floor panels, not excluding their braking systems, and as such something urgently must be done to stop this flooding.

This Venice syndrome has been aggravated since this road was resurfaced; while solving the bad state of the road, the seawater has found a way to totally cover the tarmac. This matter should be dealt with immediately.
