Employees from HSBC Life Insurance and the bank's Personal Financial Services department and their children lent a helping hand at St Catherine's Home for the Elderly, Attard, to bring a smile to the 92 residents and six Dominican sisters who look after them.

A three-metre Christmas tree was put up, with children decorating the lower branches and adults doing the rest. HSBC also supplied several large boxes of new Christmas decorations to complement what the home had accumulated over the years. HSBC staff then served tea and cake to the residents, followed by a game of bingo. Gifts were then distributed to residents.
