Smart City submits four applications to Mepa

Smart City Malta has submitted the planning applications for its SCM02 and SCM03 office buildings and for SCM04 and SCM05 retail spaces to the Malta Environment and Planning Authority.

These buildings kick off the next stage of development on site.

Adjacent to SCM01, the offices and retail spaces are located around the main focal point of Smart City Malta, the lagoon area in Ricasoli.

Smart City Malta has already submitted the planning application for the power distribution centre.

Set to be built as part of Phase One, the centre will supply sufficient electrical power needed for the Smart City Malta community.

SCM01 is progressing as planned and will be welcoming its business partners in the third quarter of 2010. Smart City Malta will create a balanced life and work environment for knowledge workers.

Design works involved in the completion of the first phase are ongoing. The entire first phase will consist of office space, residential units, retail outlets set around the scenic lagoon surrounded with lush landscaping and terraces.
