Doing something beautiful for God
On behalf of the central office Ejjew Għandi (Children's Homes), I would like to thank all those who invited children living in the Church's residential homes and domestic violence shelters and those making use of the services of our child daycare centres to parties during this Christmas season. They returned home very happy and excited with the presents they received.
We are indeed very sorry not to have accepted all the invitations we received because that would have been almost next to impossible apart from the fact that it would not have been physically and psychologically healthy. But we would be happy to accept such invitations during the year.
A big thank you goes to the staff of Air Malta who provided the necessary financial resources so that about 140 children, accompanied by their carers, were taken on a 90-minute flight over the Maltese islands, Sicily and Reggio Calabria on December 13. I am sure they will not forget this experience, especially when they were invited by Captain Joseph Farrugia and Flight Officer Jason Taliana to spend a few minutes in the cockpit.
The Church is also very grateful for the kind generosity and support experienced during the Families in Need Campaign, organised by RTK Radio and L-Istrina.
A big thank you goes to all those who volunteered in the organisation of these campaigns and to the many companies and individuals who have contributed financially so that the Church in Malta can continue to care and protect children and families in our residential homes, child daycare centres and shelters for victims of domestic violence.
I am absolutely sure that many of us have done something really beautiful for God, who, as a Heavenly Father, will never forget what we all have done to the least of His sons and daughters in need.
We promise you our daily prayers.

A big Well Done to all Air Malta management, staff and helpers!
A big thanks to all those who daily service the gospel of God our Heavenly Father and show its fruits.
The gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose. 2 Timothy 1:8-9.
You have been saved… and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created… for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10.
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy… This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. Titus 3:5-8 New Testament.
Wishes of peace and health to all.
