DINGLI. On December 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, to Annamarie, née Degiorgio, and Alexiei, the most wonderful gift of a son - JAKE, a most welcome brother to Ben.

Obituary

SLADDEN. On December 30, HARRY, born in Senglea, residing in Ta' Xbiex, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Tessie, his son Raymond and his wife Diane, his daughters Madeleine, widow of Raymond West, Marianne and her husband Mario Bonett, Sandra and her husband Joseph Farrugia, his precious grandchildren and great-grandson, and his brothers Anthony, Alfred and their respective families. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.15 a.m. for Our Lady of Victories Basilica church, Senglea, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 7.45 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Community Chest Fund will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Requiem Masses

Today's 6.30 p.m. Masses at Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema and at St Paul's parish church, Rabat, will be offered for the repose of the soul of HENRY PAUL ENGLAND on the first anniversary of his demise. In loving remembrance. The attendance of relatives and friends will be greatly appreciated.

Power cuts

There will be power cuts as follows tomorrow:

From 8 a.m. to noon in Ta' Mattiju, Mitħna l-Qadima, Xjuf ir-Riħ, Karlu Borg, Dun Grezz Buttigieg and San Ġwann streets in Nadur.

From 2.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Isqof Baldassare Caligares, Forn, Kunċizzjoni, Nadur, 30 ta' Ottubru 1948, San Ġużepp and It-Telgħa streets in Qala.

Power cable link

The call for expressions of interest made by Enemalta for a power cable between Malta and Sicily closes in mid-January.

Enemalta recalled that the call had originally been issued in summer when six applications had been submitted. All had missing information, so the call was re-issued this month and will close in mid-January.

Once the process is concluded, candidates will be short listed and asked to take part in a call for tenders.
