AD stresses solidarity

Alternattiva Demokratika chairman Michael Briguglio made an appeal for solidarity in his New Year greetings.

He said: "In such times of joy let us all show our solidarity with the most underprivileged persons in society, including those living in poverty, those who are socially excluded from civil or human rights and those who face hardships such as physical and mental illness, loneliness and discrimination."

Solidarity should be universal towards all, he said, irrespective of any characteristics.

AD also appealed for more awareness on animal protection.
