@ all you people worried about your precious cars.

For goodness sake, you live in Malta where you can even walk to wherever you need to go or take a bus. Imagine you lived in Australia with accidents happening every day. And yes we do complain about insurances in Australia as well. Get a hobby guys and stop complaining about anything and everything. Also spare a thought for the poor family who spent Christmas without a husband and father.

Come on people a man died he was my husband's uncle and all you can think of are the cars. Yes he had heart problems and we all knew he had them but his doctors allowed him to drive he was even going to Australia next year with the APPROVAL of his doctor so excuse me if i am not worried about the car and i am sad with the loss of a dear uncle, and beloved husband, father and grandfather. RIP uncle sunny we miss you a lot

You don't seem to know much about Insurance and what different coverages are available. I hope that if you drive a car, you are adequately insured and cognisant of your rights.

Read Randolph Spiteri's comments one more time and hopefully you will understand that he sounded more concerned that his car 'might have been parked' where one of the four damaged ones were. Lucky for him he parked elsewhere last Thursday! I sympathize with the owners of the damaged cars as much as they are probably sad at Mr. Portelli's misfortune!

Many years ago I was taught that we all should share the joys and sorrows of others and I found it odd that one would be much concerned over an event which did not happen (to him) while the fatal heart attack of a neighbour seemed to be put on an unlit back burner!

Mr Martinelli, So what if the cars are insured! Don't you know that insurance, like the law, is an ass?
Have you ever heard anyone praise the outcome of an insurance claim? I haven't, ever.

Still, i am sorry for this man's death and for the suffering of his family. It does not diminish the fact that some people simply cannot be without their car while others really REALLYcannot afford to fix their cars if it gets damaged, accidentally or not.

Your concern about the four damaged cars as a result of Mr.Portelli's fatal heart attack, is truly moving!

If one of the cars was yours, and Mr. Portelli's car was insured, would you not, either way, be covered?

There are additional riders, obtained for a small annual fee, which will also cover you for 'loss of vehicle' in case your car is damaged and will allow you free rental of a car for a number of days while your car is being repaired or replaced. Have you ever thought of that?

Condolences go to Mr. Portelli's family.

My sincere condolences to Savior Portelli. However, please spare a thought for the owners of the four parked vehicles which got wrecked by the incident. I live a corner away from that street and it could have been my car which was parked there that evening. It's not nice to spend Christmas mourning for a relative. But it's not nice either to spend Christmas with a wrecked car. I'm sure the police will do their job well and investigate whether there was an irregularity in the sense that the man shouldn't have been driving in the first place, and whether there were any recommendations by his doctor in this regard.

Ischaemic heart disease is not something which happens suddenly. It is something that develops over time. It is likely that Mr Portelli's doctor was aware of his condition. He should not have been driving, for his sake and that of others.

i could not believe what i heard, on Sunday we were chatting at Manchester United Supporters club and talking 1000 things about football and music. he was proud of his achievements, we a true family man and an example father to all rip Mro Portelli and my deepest sympathy to his family
