BoV calendar presented to featured artists

Bank of Valletta has paid tribute to the artists whose works have featured in the last six editions of the BoV Retrospective Art Exhibitions, by including a sample of their work in the 2010 BoV calendar.

The featured artists are Joseph Casha, Luciano Micallef, Charles Cassar, Philip Chircop, Caesar Attard and the Victor Diacono.

BoV Chief Officer Igino Xuereb presented a copy of the calendar to Mr Micallef, Mr Chircop, Mr Cassar and Antoinette Diacono, wife of the late Mr Diacono, during a presentation ceremony held at the BoV Centre in St Venera.

Speaking during the presentation, Mr Xuereb said that BoV had been supporting the local artistic scene for a number of years.

"The BoV retrospective exhibitions held in the past 10 years have been a celebration of local art, events that have showcased the extensive work of a number of renowned Maltese artists," said Mr Xuereb.

This year's calendar pays tribute to artists who participated in the last six editions.

"These artists have made an important contribution to the local art scene," said Mr Xuereb.
