An armed and hooded man charged into a Ħamrun shop last night and fled with some €2,000, terrifying clients in the process. People shopping for clothes in the shop in Triq Dun Neriku Cordina Perez saw the man entering the shop and demanding money.

The same clients turned up at the Ħamrun police station requesting assistance. No one was injured.

Duty magistrate Jacqueline Padovani ordered an inquiry. The police are investigating.
