'Competitiveness, diversification and higher education international cash flow. Challenges for higher education in the age of globalisation' was the titled of a talk recently given by Prof. Peter Mayo at the University of Glasgow's Centre for Research and Development of Adult and Lifelong Learning seminar at Glasgow University.

The talk was based on a paper Prof. Mayo recently published in International Studies in Sociology of Education. Prof. Mayo is head of the Department of Education Studies of the University's Faculty of Education.

In May, he will be keynote speaker at the 2010 European Society for Research on the Education of Adults network research seminar to be hosted by the University of Seville on the theme 'Between local and global: Adult learning and development'.
