Updated: Suspect parcel bomb turns out to be bag of clothes
A parcel suspected to be a bomb turned up to be just a bag full of clothes.
The AFM's Explosives Ordnance Disposal went to the site where the "bomb" was found at St Albert Street, Gzira, and the Civil Protection Department were put on standby.
But after spraying the bag with water, the AFM found it to contain only clothes.
Last Tuesday, 60-year-old Philip Cini of Qormi was seriously injured following a parcel bomb explosion at his residence.

@ Joseph Schembri - A pretty dangerous bomb can be built in less than 20 minutes using ingredients from the chemist and the grocer. I don't know you, but i bet that with the items you currently have in your cupboards or garage, 3 or more bombs can be built. So parcel bombs are not something out of this world and everyone should be very cautious. These days even plastic explosive (like the army use) can be created at home, and a matchbox sized plastic bomb can blow up a person to atoms. So watchout.
