Updated: Sliema man found dead yesterday identified

The man who was found dead beneath the Surfside in Sliema yesterday was 20 and Maltese, the police said.

He was one of two young men found dead yesterday, with the second, also in his 20s, being found at his residence in Zejtun.

The Sliema man was found dead in mysterious circumstances and was not carrying any means of identification. He was identified by his family this morning.

Autopsies on both men were held today but were inconclusive pending toxicological results.

However, it is likely that the two were drug victims.

Inquiries are being held.
