EasyJet, the low-cost airline, will introduce two new routes next year between Fiumicino (Rome) and Malta and Liverpool and Malta.

The airline will be competing with Air Malta and Alitalia on the Rome route. Although an official announcement has not been made, the route appears on the EasyJet website.

EasyJet announced a Milan-Malta service a few weeks ago.

Its planes begin flying between the two destinations three times a week from March 30. The Liverpool-Malta route will begin operating on June 13.

As of next year, the entire EasyJet fleet will be serviced in Malta after a deal was struck with aircraft maintenance company SR Technics.
