Sliema slide to a shock defeat
Msida 1 Sliema Wanderers 0
Sliema Wanderers suffered a shock defeat against unfancied Msida St Joseph.
Stephen Azzopardi's men were forced to pay for a host of missed chances and for failing to raise their game sufficiently against minnows Msida.
Again, individual errors were to blame as Adam Spiteri ran into the Sliema area unmarked to appy the simplest header to Zoran Levniac's cross after 59 minutes.

First of all thanks to our president and committe which they are trying to put again sliema with the first teams in Malta. But now is the time to take the desicion. Mr Azzopardi failed, he had good transfrer market and A good committe backing him but the results are very bad.
Happy new year.

I have no words to say except I am so disappointed. I will not point fingers but I hope and really hope that some drastic action will be taken. The only time when we saw our team in such a situation is when we were relegated but this is in the past and our team enjoyed the Glory of being the most successful team in our domestic leauge followed by Valletta and Floriana. The latter too are in the same street but at least they are trying to doing something and unless we see some truly Sliema colours managing our team this will be a difficult task. I wish all the best to our truly hard worker President and I tell him not to be afriad to take hard desicions.

What a Shame; We a handful of supporters who are in the late and early sixties, forever loyal to the colours light blue and dark blue, had to face during this match; how can you have your team motivated when from the start you had Clayton Failla and Alex Muscat non-starters in the team; how can you fight for a postive result when you had Steven Azzopardi the coach with both hands in his pockets just passively watching the proceedings. No laminated Calendars and presentation of Prima Donnas in the team will please us die-heart Sliema Wanderers supporters when we are seeing our team heading to fight in the relegation pool. Shame on you Mr Azzopardi we have lost faith in your tactics you are as guilty as the non-motivated players and Sliema Committe who replaced the seasoned players. I assure one and all Sliema Wanderers will always be close to our hearts but when days gone by we use to lose games we lost them true hard, tactical approach agianst better teams on the day with honours; those were the days of real men playing for the blues not "Prima Donnas' in designer clothes. What a SHAME go Steven
