Rescuer describes Qormi bomb scene
Martin Galdes, a grocer who rushed to help Philip Cini after he was severely injured by a suspected parcel-bomb this afternoon, has described the scene as he tried to carry his friend out of his apartment in Qormi.
The explosion took place at about 1.30 p.m, filling the apartment with smoke.
Mr Cini was rushed to hospital in an ambulance which happened to be passing by and was flagged down. The police said his condition is life-threatening.
