Students network with local entrepreneurs

The University campus recently hosted a panel discussion between students and 10 of Malta's top entrepreneurs, followed by an informal networking session between the entrepreneurs and students.

The activities formed part of thousands of events held worldwide to mark Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009, aimed at promoting creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The business personalities taking part included Ivan Bartolo, of 6pm, David Bugeja of Reohix, Koreusb, Piccante and Saqsi.com, Giorgio Mondovì of Nestlè Malta, Sabrina Mulligan of Brainbox, Gamebox, and Monopoly Malta, Eman Pulis of Marshall-Pulis Events, Doris Sammut of Green Skip Services Ltd and GS Rec. Ltd, Alex Scicluna of Cafè Jubilee, Jonathan Shaw of Choosetotravel.com, Gianni Zammit of Vibe FM and Jugs@Malta, and Dylan Lentini, who set up a venture after taking part in last year's GEW activities.

TV personality and actress Clare Agius, who also runs her own media production company, was the panel moderator.

The event was organised by the University's Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and Development of Thinking as national GEW host, in collaboration with Degreeplus and Bank of Valletta.
