Bingo75 is being played daily, using a set of numbers from 1 to 75 instead of the traditional tombola with a set of 90 numbers.

In each draw, 55 numbers are randomly drawn by means of a certified random number generator.

Each Bingo75 ticket consists of five grids printed in a five-by-five-grid format.

Each ticket costing €3 gives a player the chance of winning the three categories on the same ticket.

A player can only participate in the game by buying a Bingo75 ticket at any Maltco Lotteries point of sale.

The ticket will only be valid for the draw immediately following the purchase.

Players can watch the daily draw presentation held at 5 p.m. at any Maltco point of sale or on the website at www.maltco.com/Bingo75.

The Snowball will start from a minimum guaranteed amount of €50,000. If no winners are declared in either the Corners or House categories, the funds for those categories are rolled over to the Snowball category of the next draw.

The game of bingo can be traced back to a lottery game called 'Lo Giuoco del Lotto d'Italia' played in Italy in circa 1530.

By the 18th century, the game had matured and in France, playing cards, tokens and the reading of numbers had been added to the game.

In the 19th century, bingo was widely used in Germany for educational purposes to teach children spelling, animal names and multiplication tables.

In Malta, bingo has been popular for many years and Bingo75 builds on its precursor Tiritombola, which used to be operated by the Department of Public Lotto.

"Bingo75 offers something different," says Mario Cassar, Maltco's general director.

"Our focus groups indicated that players wanted something different from how Tiritombola was structured, and we believe Bingo75 fits these evolving needs".
