The news that our colleague and friend, Mary Galea, school counsellor, passed away on Sunday has shocked us deeply and left a great void in our midst within the Guidance and Counselling Services.
Mary was one of the first school counsellors to be appointed within the section. She always carried out her work conscientiously, with great dedication and professionalism. It was always of paramount importance for her to keep abreast of any new developments in the field so as to be able to give the best possible service to her students and their parents. Mary was always an inspiration to us all and a mentor to many of us. She was a warm, approachable person, always ready with a smile to listen to you and to give you the necessary help, support and encouragement. She has left a great legacy in the many schools where she worked and where she gave an impeccable service.
Rest in peace, dear Mary, we miss you and shall carry you in our hearts. Your friends and colleagues at the Guidance and Counselling Services.
