Do not generalise. Right this morning I witnessed an elderly couple crossing Mriehel bypass, next to Fleur de Lys Roundabout in the thick of traffic, and instead of waiting for traffic to slow and drivers to have a clear view of them. they just waved at cars to stop and proceeded to cross the busy road. Waving the palm of your hand at cars and trucks will not stop them. Drivers need to be educated, but so do pedestrians.

Dear Edwin, on the same reasoning we could ask if there is a link to the fact that most of the victims of these accidents are senior citizens!

Why is it that almost all hit (and sometimes run) accidents are perpetrated by young drivers? Is there a link somewhere?

More and more traffic accident each day . Someone Mepa / ADT need to take actions. We need more flyover or underground tunnels for pedestrians. Making Speed cameras or Zebra crossing in the middle of a Bypass were a car is supposed to drive quicker than in town, is useless !!
