PN makes donation from book on former leader

The Nationalist Party has presented €1,000 to the Community Chest Fund from the proceeds made from the sale of Inservi, a collection of essays on former PN leader, Prime Minister and President Eddie Fenech Adami.

The presentation was made by PN General Secretary Paul Borg Olivier when he called on President George Abela and presented him with a copy of the book.

Dr Borg Olivier said the book had been sold out and PIN, the PN publishing arm, was considering a second run.

President Abela said it was important that research on Malta's leading politicians was published. He also augured that Malta's retired politicians could continue to give their contribution through a forum which would be created for this purpose.

Dr Abela yesterday proposed the setting up of a Council of State which would include the former Presidents among its members.
