BONDIN. On December 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, to Roxanne née Sammut and Gordon, God's precious gift of a first-born son - ANDREA. Thanks to all the maternity staff.

CALAFATO. On December 7, at Mater Dei Hospital Maternity Wing, to Carmen née Camilleri and Jeffrey, God's precious gift of a daughter - EMMA, a most welcome sister to Martina and Jeremy. Thanks be to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

COPPERSTONE. On November 30, at Mater Dei Hospital. Josanne and Jason proudly announce the safe arrival of BENJAMIN-JOSEPH, a most welcome brother to Justin. Thanks be to God, the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Joseph. Our deepest gratitude goes to the consultant, his medical team and the wonderful staff at the Delivery Suite and in Obstetrics 1.

CRAUS. On November 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, to Nathalie née Falzon and Johann, God's precious gift of a daughter - EMMA, a most welcome sister to Elisa. Deo gratias et Mariae. Heartfelt thanks go once more to a dear friend and midwife, Antoinette Formosa, for all her help and support.

DYAB. On December 9, at St Philip's Hospital, to Enas Bakhnug and Khaled, God's precious gift of a second-born daughter - TAMARA. Thanks to the gynaecologist, the paediatrician and all the maternity staff at the hospital.

KING. On November 23, in Houston, Texas, to Vanessa née Richmond and Paul Jr., God's precious gift of a daughter - LUCIA VIOLET, a most welcome sister to Imogen.

LÉONARD-BONAVIA. Marie-Claire née Bonavia and Luc happily announce the birth of their first-born daughter, ELSA MARIE, at Clinique St. Michel, Brussels, on November 24. Praised be God and the Virgin Mary.

SULTANA. On November 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, to Clarissa née Borg and Mark, God's precious gift of a first-born daughter - ANNIE. Thanks be to God. Special thanks to all the staff at Obstetrics 1 and 2.

Marriages

Mr KEVIN FARRUGIA, B.Accty. (Hons) and Miss RITA AGIUS, ACCA.
The marriage took place on Saturday, November 28, at the Madonna ta' Loretu church, Guardamangia, between KEVIN, son of Mr and Mrs David Farrugia of Gżira, and RITA, daughter of Dr and Mrs Godfrey Agius of Sliema. Fr Victor Scicluna officiated. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr Edward Agius and Mr Michael Farrugia. The duties of best man were carried out by Dr Andrew Agius. The bride was attended by Maria Rita Agius and Rowena Agius. Lisa Debono was maid of honour, Samuel Agius was pageboy and Alan Scerri acted as usher. A reception was later held at Villa Mdina, Naxxar. The couple are currently spending their honeymoon in Orlando, followed by a Caribbean cruise.

Obituary

BORG. On December 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, ĠUŻA, of San Ġwann, aged 83, widow of Francis, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Catherine, Doris, Joe, Anthony, Mary, Anna, Julian, Nicholas, Carmel, Manuel, Bernardette and Christopher, their respective spouses, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister and brothers, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 2 p.m. at San Ġwann parish church, followed by interment at Qrendi cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

TABONE. On December 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, RONALD, aged 80, passed peacefully away. He leaves to mourn his loss his cousins, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends, especially those from the Melita Football Club and council members of the MFA. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9 a.m. for Stella Maris parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.
