Steve Camilleri, the Neptunes Vodafone Malta international, now in his second year with RN Bogliasco, has been in excellent form lately.

In the Italian Serie A1 league, Camilleri scored a number of goals which have seen him climb to fourth place in the scorers' list with 18 goals from seven games, just four behind the Serbian top player and current top-scorer, Vanja Udovic, of Pro Recco.

Camilleri, 22, finished last season with a tally of 42 goals for his club, to finish as their top scorer in his first season with them, and is well on the way to having another successful season.

Last week, he was the protagonist for his team in an 8-8 draw away to Posilipo, scoring four times and helping Bogliasco win a crucial away point.

In Bogliasco's previous match against the strong RN Savona side, currently placed second in the league, Camilleri also had an excellent game scoring four of his side's six goals in an 11-6 defeat.

Bogliasco, currently joint eighth in the 12-team league, are scheduled to play at home to RN Imperia today and away to SS Lazio the following week. These two games should prove to be balanced encounters as the Italian league breaks up for Christmas holidays.
