Bingo75 is the name of a new game just launched by Maltco Lotteries Ltd and which is played daily using a set of numbers from 1 to 75 instead of the traditional tombola with 90 numbers.

In each draw, Maltco explained, 55 numbers are randomly drawn by means of a certified Random Number Generator. Players can win in three categories, namely: Corners if the player has the number in each corner of a given grid drawn by the 30th number; Snowball if the 24 numbers in a grid are drawn by the 50th number and House if the 24 numbers in a grid are drawn by the 55th number.

Each Bingo75 ticket consists of five grids printed in a five by five grid format. Each ticket, costing €3, gave a player the chance of winning the three categories on the same ticket, Maltco said.

The Snowball will start from a minimum guaranteed amount of €50,000.

If no winners are declared in either the Corners or House categories, the funds for such categories are rolled over to the Snowball category of the next draw.

Maltco said Bingo75 was built on its precursor Tiritombla, which used to be operated by the Department of Public Lotto.

"Bingo75 offers something different from the traditional tombola or how Tiritombla used to be played," said Mario Cassar, Maltco's general director.

"Our focus groups indicated that players wanted something different from how Tiritombla was structured and we believe that Bingo75 fits those evolving needs".

The daily draw presentation is held at 5 p.m. and can be followed at any of Maltco's points of sale or on its website www.maltco.com/Bingo75.
