I have just finished reading the book written by Michael A. Sant Rivoluzzjoni Maltija on the episodes which took place in Malta on June 7 and 8, 1919.

In his book, the author, who had quoted local and foreign writers, gives a detailed description of how these tragic events took place in Valletta and in several other localities.

Eyewitnesses, as quoted in the investigation, testified that the first victim who fell on the Saturday of June 7, 1919 was Lorenzo Dyer. Dyer was shot near the entrance of the Malta Chronicle newspaper and fell dead in St George's Square.

The recent removal from St George's Square (or as it is popularly known Palace Square) of the monument as a tribute to these Maltese patriots is condemned by one and all.

Now that the square has been refurbished, then the return of the Sette Giugno monument by the well-known Maltese artist Anton Agius is urgently desired.
