The Polish capital Warsaw plans to launch an eight-language city audio guide retracing the steps of celebrated pianist and composer Frederic Chopin in 2010, marking the bicentennial of his birth.
"The audio guide will come with a map of Warsaw marking locations linked to Frederic Chopin," a Warsaw city hall spokesman said yesterday.
The Polish capital plans dozens of events, concerts and exhibits devoted to the Franco-Polish composer and pianist over the course of 2010.
A Frederic Chopin centre is currently under construction in Warsaw while a museum in the city documenting his life and work is being renovated.
