Accused loses appeal in Doujon Zammit murder case
A Greek bouncer who stands accused of the murder of Maltese-Australian Doujon Zammit in July 2008 has lost an appeal from a court decision to indict him.
Marios-Sosipatros Antonopoulos filed his appeal before the Greek Supreme Court.
Zammit, 20, was beaten to death with a metal truncheon after being chased outside a nightclub on the island of Mykonos, just days after he visited Malta. He died on August 2, 2008.
Antonopoulos also faces charges of the attempted murder of of other people who had accompanied Zammit.

@R Micallef. Count yourself lucky. I have a Constitutional case ( Constitutional cases should be dealt with speedily) that has been pending since 1994

I think you should read the article again as you have missed the point! Lost the appeal to indict him not the case!

Has anyone noticed something strange in this article???
....in merely 16 months the court decided a case, sentenced the accused who in turn filed an appeal and lost it.
Can we learn something from this !!??!!
I have one court sentence which has been pending since 2003 !

Bouncers need to have a strict code of conduct wherever they operate.
Does it exist in Malta? We also have had beatings resulting in death here.

Lets hope the Greek court system find this bouncer guilty as charged for MURDER ONE and receives nothing less then life imprisonment for his acts.
