The leader of The Times on climate change (December 7) states: "... scientific evidence that climate change is already under way, is man-made and is likely to continue happening underpins the policy that is intended to transform the world's carbon-intensive economy into one which no longer pumps greenhouse gases into the atmosphere." ... "The job of the politicians at Copenhagen is to find fair and practical solutions to achieve this goal."
Allow me to extrapolate your statement into another form: There is scientific evidence that climate change in the womb is also already under way, is man-made by deliberate termination of human lives, the misuse of alcohol, drugs and tobacco by parents before and during pregnancy, and chemical and toxic emissions in the air which is inhaled by mothers and 200 million unborn children world-wide every year, including 4,000 in Malta and Gozo.
All this is likely to continue happening, which underpins the urgent need of a world-wide campaign that declares the unborn child also as "the common concern of mankind" and that is intended to transform pre-polluted wombs into ones which no longer have chemical and toxic substances pumped into them for whatever reason, from where ever, and in which human lives can thrive and develop properly, until born and after.
The job of the politicians discussing climate change in Copenhagen until December 18 and in all countries thereafter, is to find fair and practical solutions to achieve this goal also.
