Obituary
DARMANIN. On December 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, LEONARDA (Lea) of Pembroke, aged 57, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband John, her daughter Sharon and her husband Kevin, Glen and his wife Claudette, her grandchildren Jayden, Jacob and Cohen, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on December 10 at 1.30 p.m. for the Risen Christ parish church, Pembroke, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.Lord, grant her eternal rest.
GALEA. On December 6, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, MARY of Qormi, (school councillor), aged 59, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister and brothers, Phyllis, Joe and his wife Anna, George and his wife Josephine, Vincent and his wife Mary, Yvonne, widow of her brother Gawdenz, Freddie and his wife Lora, nephews, nieces, aunties, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Sir Paul Boffa Hospital today at 2.15 p.m. for St George parish church, Qormi, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Resurrection Cemetery, Qormi. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
MIZZI. On December 5, JOHN of Mosta, aged 92, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Oliver and his wife Mary, his grandchildren Veronica, Omar Enrique and his wife Lucienne and their children Gianluca and Antonio, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for Mosta parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Eden Foundation, Bulebel, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MUSCAT. On December 6, at St Vincent de Paul residence, ANTON of Paola, widower of Carmen, née Gatt, aged 87, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by his family, Marc, Christine, Jan, Alan and Kris, his sister Nelly, his in-laws John, Victor, Joe, Vivienne, Mario, Elsa and Lucia, their respective spouses and families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. VELLA SAID. On December 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, GRACE, widow of Victor Vella, of Xagħra, Gozo, residing at Balzan, aged 98, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Josephine, widow of Paul Gauci, residing in the USA and Marlene, widow of Joseph Coleiro, her grandchildren PierAngela, LisaMarie and her husband Kent, Victoria Ann, widow of Paul and Ann Marie and her husband Jonathan, her great-grandchildren Joanne and her boyfriend Adrian, Louise and her boyfriend Frank, Paul Edward, Joseph Daniel, Maria Christina and Luke, her sister Victorine Sultana, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Our Lady of the Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Xagħra cemetery. Hospice Christmas Cards
The Malta Hospice Movement is offering assorted packets of 10 Christmas cards against a donation of €1. All proceeds will go towards the movement, which helps cancer and motor neurone disease sufferers and their families.

Christmas Concert
The Stella Maris Philharmonic Society will hold its annual orchestral Christmas concert at De Porres Auditorium, the Strand, Sliema on December 19 at 8 p.m. A selection of modern and classical pieces will be played under the direction of Michael Pulis. Tickets are available by calling on 7944 5778.
