For some odd reason, Evarist Bartolo has decided to unearth from the grave Labour's attack on Where's Everybody (December 2). It's the same hoary attack which Labour's former deputy leader, Charles Mangion, said was one of the main reasons for Labour's electoral defeat in 2003.

I shall limit myself to three simple facts. First, the last Media Warehouse survey showed that of the five most popular TV programmes, four are produced by Where's Everybody.

Second, never has Bondiplus or Xarabank been found guilty by the Broadcasting Authority of breaking the rules of impartiality and balance.

Indeed, despite all the political hot air, the Labour Party itself has never, ever, instituted a case against an edition of these two programmes. Third, contrary to Mr Bartolo's claims,

Where's Everybody programmes occupy less than seven per cent of PBS's weekly airtime and 14 per cent of prime time. Other TV production houses occupy more.

The difference is that people watch our programmes. We humbly plead with Mr Bartolo not to hold this against us.
