Juve defeat Inter, Milan beat Sampdoria
Claudio Marchisio blew open the Serie A title race when his superb goal gave Juventus a 2-1 win overSerie A leaders Inter in an enthralling game on Saturday.
Inter's lead has been cut to four points after second-placed AC Milan outclassed Sampdoria 3-0 at the San Siro while third-placed Juve are a point further back after 15 matches.
Italy midfielder Marchisio danced past Walter Samuel and dinked the ball home just before the hour mark in Turin after Inter's Samuel Eto'o had equalised Lucio's own goal for Juve.
Inter coach Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands for sarcastic applause following the opener while Juve's Felipe Melo was dismissed late on after an incident with Mario Balotelli, who was whistled by home fans but not racially abused as had been feared.

While players are sactioned for fouls and wrong doings, I think that referees who conduct themselves in such a shameful way in favour of one team (Inter) and against another by giving the yellow card to one team's player and nothing not even a foul to inter for the same identical foul should be disqualfied for a number of games. Also all the problems in the game started, as usual, when Balotelli came in, this 19 year old should be thought a lession now before it is too late - he is a trouble maker in quasi every game he plays.

.... yesterday's game showed that Juve need to be at their best to win the league ... its the main difference between Juve and Inter .... Inter can afford to play badly and scrape wins, Juve still cannot .... having said that, yesterday Juve fully deserved their win .... Inter's "arrogance" was there for all to see ... claiming inexistent penalties, diving, faking etc etc .... they will need to get ready for another 30 years of "fallimienti" once Juve & Milan get their act back together ...

Inter got what they deserved. After all they were lucky enough so far in the Italian League. They should forget yesterday's match fast as they have a very tricky game in the champions league this week.

@ O Galea - As an Inter supporter I can understand that you are very upset to lose to Juventus. We deserved to win. I am not saying this because I am a Juventus supporter but come on look at your line up and look at ours. If Maicon & Snider are important for Inter our list of injuries is much longer than the one of Inter.

A draw would have been a just result. I think Inter were denied a penalty on Milito. And the absence of Maicon and Snyder were an important factor. Hopefully they perform better next Wednesday.
