'Roamer' will be pleased to note that the European Parliament office at Europe House is constantly assisting the local media to cover the business of the EP before decisions are taken.

Indeed, many of the articles that appear locally about the EP originate from our office or the EP press service, which publishes all voting records at both committee and plenary stage on the EP website www.europarl.europa.eu.

Every month, the European Parliament office financially supports local journalists from all media to cover the EP directly in Strasbourg and Brussels, with no strings attached.

Apart from direct collaboration with timesofmalta.com during the EP election campaign, the EP office ensures coverage of EP business through its popular weekly TV and radio programmes on PBS called dot EU, whereby MEPs must account for their votes and actions.

It also enables citizens to engage directly with their MEPs through regular citizens' forums on legislation of particular interest to Malta.

While the EP will continue to reach out to the public, particularly through its new facilities at Europe House, the EP is already the most active parliament in the world when it comes to social and new media, including europarltv. europa.eu.
