Reference is made to the article Labour Willing To Meet Danish Firm published on November 30 and most particularly to the statement issued by the PN in response.

The statement published contains unfounded allegations particularly wherein it is stated that "the €75,000 that the government was ordered to pay in compensation for a Sta Venera property had been requisitioned in 1973 and later turned into a Labour Party club".

The property was requisitioned by the Nationalist government in the 1960s and not in 1973 as alleged in the statement. Moreover, the court ordered the government to pay the compensation because it declared the requisition order, issued by a Nationalist government, to be null.

May we also point out the plaintiffs in this case declared they were not seeking the Labour committee's eviction. They were actually seeking compensation due to the requisition order issued by the government. The government at the time was a PN government.

Facts are sacred.
