Obituary
AQUILINA. On December 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, HENRY, of Sliema, aged 64, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Irene, his sisters and brothers, Elen and her husband Dwardu, Vincent, Carmen and her husband Charles, Mary and her husband Joe, Doris and her husband Ġużi, Victor and his wife Carmen and Joe and his wife Helen, residing in the UK, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for the Carmelite parish church, Balluta, St Julians, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
GAUCI. On December 3, MICHELANGELO, aged 87, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his devoted wife Giovanna, his children Joseph, secretary of the Malta Football Association, Vince and his wife Lora, nephew Mario and niece Marcelle, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 3 p.m. for the St Catherine parish church Żurrieq where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment at San Leone cemetery, Żurrieq. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MUSCAT. On December 3, at the Little Sisters of the Poor, Ħamrun, ANNIE, of Mellieħa, aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Emanuel and his wife Maria, her sister Angela and her husband France Caruana, the widows of her brothers in Australia, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.The funeral leaves the Little Sisters of the Poor, Ħamrun, today at 2.30 p.m. for Mellieħa parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment at Mellieħa cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor will be greatly appreciated.Lord, grant her eternal rest.
VASSALLO. On December 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, Chev. PETER PAUL VASSALLO of Rabat, aged 86, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Jessie, his sons Dr Peter Paul and Mario, his daughter Marika, his sister Sunta, widow of Pawlu Debono, his in-laws and their respective families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9.30 a.m. for St Paul's parish church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. BMV Competition Concert
The National Council of Women will be hosting the 12th edition of the Bice Mizzi Vassallo (BMV) Competition Concert on December 12 at Sala Isouard, Manoel Theatre, Valletta at 6.30 p.m. The participants who qualify from the preliminary session will be performing their chosen works in the concert, which will be open to the public.Tickets can be purchased from the booking office of the Manoel Theatre, Valletta, tel. no. 2124 6389.

Homework and dyslexia
The National Council of Women's education committee will be repeating the talk on Coping With Homework And Dyslexia on December 10 at the NCW Centre Mountbatten Street, Blata l-Bajda at 7.15 p.m. The talk will be held in Maltese. During the talk, there will be an interactive session on how to best help dyslexic children and adolescents with their homework. It will also address how parents can be empowered to approach teachers with regard to homework. The NCW encourages parents, teachers and other interested persons to attend. India Honorary Consulate
The Honorary Consulate of India said that its new opening hours are from 9 a.m. till noon from Monday to Friday, bar Tuesday when the offices are open from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
