Two plead not guilty to drug trafficking and possession

Rita Camilleri, 39, of Hamrun and Kevin Zammit, 37, of Pieta pleaded not guilty to being in possession and trafficking in heroin and cannabis grass and resin.

Mr Zammit was also charged with putting pressure on another person to commit a crime.

Both were granted bail, Ms Camilleri against a deposit of €1,000 and a personal guarantee of €11,000, Mr Zammit against a deposit of €2,000 and a personal guarantee of €10,000.

These two people allegedly gave the drugs to nurse Jacqueline Dipasquale who was charged with trying to take the drugs in prison yesterday.
