Selmun Palace Hotel still for sale
The Selmun Palace Hotel is still for sale, Finance Minister Tonio Fenech said in reply to a parliamentary question.
He said the process is being managed by the Government Property Division and adverts were carried in the newspapers at the end of last month.
The privatisation process was launched last year. The hotel formerly used to form part of Air Malta.

It was and remains Malta's prime eyesore. It ought to be demolished and land returned to the people, like is happening in other areas.
We had a huge fuss about an open air disco and Mistra, yet at the top of that same valley we have this monstrosity.

This is another negative effect of eu membership where AirMalta was made to shed everything that was not strictly connected to its operations as an airline.

Let's hope privatisation will not be followed by savage re-development, followed by the ruin of a larger footprint in this pristine area, followed by the conversion of an initial hotel into luxery flats that will result in a lose for all the Maltese.
