Argo International represented in Malta

Argo International, the specialist Lloyd's insurer, is to be represented in Malta by Clive Chipperfield.

Mr Chipperfield will also assist in launching Argo International's cargo business, which is approved to begin operation from January 1, 2010.

With over three decades of industry experience, Mr Chipperfield has worked both in the Lloyd's and European company markets. Before relocating to Malta in 2003, he was at Chubb, where he opened the first European Marine office in London before becoming European marine manager responsible for the cargo and liability business emanating from France, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Germany and Ireland. Before working at Chubb, he spent 17 years with the Eagle Star Group.

Julian Enoizi, CEO of Argo International said: "With representation in Malta, Argo International can begin accessing business in a tightly-controlled, well-regulated environment.

This first step into continental Europe through Malta will give us the road map for further geographical expansion in the future as a part of the group's international growth programme.
