The judges' trial is a lesson to all
This dark episode in our judiciary's history is now over and we should spare a thought and a prayer for the families of those convicted as we should do with all other inmates' families. I am also sure that this will serve as a lesson to all those who hold high office and abuse their position, that the higher the position the greater the fall!

Mr Micallef said the'the higher the position the greater the fall'. according this Jury this is not true. At least the former Chief of Justice Noel Arrigo was sentenced 2 years and nine months for his offense but those who take part in Selection Boards in the Public Sector are protected.
More than 2800 graduated this year from the University of Malta. Good Luck to ALL. But attention need to be taken to note how many of these will be given a FAIL MARK after a less than a thirty minute interview by a Selection Board. There may be others who although their abilities are high might find themselves placed in lower levels in Interviews.
Can one day section 115 of the Constitution be removed? It states that the Public Service Commission is PROTECTED from legal proceedings in the sense that the question of WHETHER the Commission has VALIDLY performed any functions vested in it by the Constitution CANNOT be enquired into in ANY COUT of LAW.

The greater the fall....the lower one is on the social ladder.
Ask that woman from the Phiippines, a mere mule, trying to lift herself out of the abject poverty so widespread in her country.
A drug-run into Malta lands her 15 years in the can.
