Busuttil names U-23 squad for match against Italia Lega Pro

The newly-formed Malta U-23 team kicks off its commitments in the International Challenge Trophy tomorrow when they take on Italia Lego Pro at the National Stadium (kick-off 7 p.m.).

Malta U-23 coach Carmel Busuttil yesterday named his 18-man squad for tomorrow's match. The bulk of players in Busuttil's squad are on the books of Premier League clubs with Valletta having the largest contingent, six in all.

Some members of the senior Malta squad, the likes of Andrei Agius, Clayton Failla, Steve Bezzina, Edward Herrera and Ryan Fenech, are also on Busuttil's list.

Marco Borg will be the match referee. He will be assisted by Philip Agius and Ingmar Spiteri while Clayton Pisani will be the fourth official.
