CARUANA. On November 29, IRIS née Caruana, aged 84, widow of Joe, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her children Bernadette and her husband Nino Angeli, Therese and her husband Tony Zammit, Marie and her husband Philip Tabone, her beloved grandchildren Monica, Alessio, Simona, Nicoll, Michael, Paula, Anthony and Anne, her great-grandchildren, her mother Adelina Caruana, her brother Joe and his wife May, her sisters-in-law Mary Caruana, Rose Sansone and Lillian Caruana, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Casa Antonia, Balzan at 9 a.m. tomorrow for St Augustine parish church, Old Bakery Street, Vallettta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family would like to thank the management, nurses, carers and all of Casa Antonia for their support and care.

MICALLEF. On November 28, INEZ, aged 94, widow of Louis (Ġiġi, ex-Superintendent Malta Police), passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Miriam, wife of Alfred Bonnici, Nanette, wife of Richard Grech, John, widower of Elizabeth, Ino and his wife Agnes, Joseph, widower of Jane, her son-in-law Francis Degiorgio of Australia widower of Paulette, Vincent and his wife Sina and Doreen, wife of Joseph Cortis, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother Victor of Australia and his wife Carmen, her sisters in-law Emma widow of Francis Spiteri, Emelia widow of Victor Micallef, their families, other relatives and friends.The funeral leaves St Vincent De Paul Residence, Luqa tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, St Julians where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar il-Kaptan, Mtarfa will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Lord, grant her eternal rest. "We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus to life, will also raise us up with Jesus and take us into His presence". 2 Corinthians 4v14. Today's 6 p.m. Mass at St Patrick's church, Sliema, will be offered for the repose of her soul. Relatives and friends are welcome.

MAMO - VANNA. In loving memory, on the 21st anniversary of her death. Always remembered by Albert, Helen, Vanessa and Mark. Rest in peace.

Alps Yultide dinner

The traditional Yuletide Dinner of the Association of Lyceum Past Students (Għaqda Ex-Studenti Liceo) this year will also help to mark the end of a calendar year of very successful 15th-anniversary celebrations.

Seminar on bilingualism
