A hamper that was to be raffled to raise funds for the Equal Partners Foundation was stolen yesterday during activities held at the Bay Street Complex.

Bay Street yesterday held a series of activities to raise funds for the foundation. The events coincided with celebrations to mark the ninth anniversary of the opening of Bay Street.

A varied show included performances by leading artists and Christmas activities.

The hamper and other gifts had been donated by shops which operate in Bay Street.

Show presenter Martin Sapiano was among those who expressed his disgust at the theft. The Equal Partners Foundation provides services to help children with disability.
